One third of all food produced on our planet will never be eaten. Food ‎waste is one of society’s most urgent issues impacting welfare, economy, ‎and environment.


In this lecture Dr. Rosenblatt will share surprising and ‎troubling information on the topic, tell us what is being done around the ‎World and in Israel and help the public understand what each individual ‎can do to reduce food waste.‎

Ms Homan will describe what is being done locally in Beer Sheva to ‎prevent food wastage.‎


Dr Rosenblatt is a veterinarian who is an expert on quality control. He ‎has worked in the food industry which required his veterinary experience ‎to ensure the quality of food products.

Ms Homan was a senior intensive care nurse. She is now heavily ‎involved with Beer Sova, a welfare restaurant facility which caters for ‎underprivileged people. Beer Sova’s clients get at least one properly ‎balanced hot meal.‎
