A bus trip with guide Beryl Ratzer, author of “A Historical Tour of the Holy Land”‎
  • Mount Gilboa – Situated above the Harod and Beit She’an valleys. In the spring the area is carpeted ‎with flowers, among them the famous Gilboa iris.‎ In the Bible, King Saul, Israel's first King, led a charge against the Philistines at Mount Gilboa.
  • photo161.jpgBeit She'an National Park houses the spectacular ruins of the Roman and Byzantine city ‎of Beit She'an. Rising above them is the high mound on which Biblical Beit She'an stood.‎
  • Beit Alpha - a 6th century synagogue  at the foot of the northern slopes of the Gilboa mountains near Beit ‎She'an. It was uncovered in 1928 by members of the nearby Kibbutz Hefzibah, who stumbled upon its extensive ‎mosaic floors during irrigation construction.‎
