Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

One Nation, Many Faces: Lost & Hidden Jewish Communities

An exciting multimedia presentation inspired by Shavei Israel's work with "lost" and "hidden" Jews in some of the most far flung spots on the globe, from the Bnei Menashe tribe in India to the Bnei Anousim ("Marranos") in Spain, Portugal and South America and many other exotic Jewish communities.
Laura Ben-David  is a marketing consultant, writer and photographer.  Originally from New York, she made ‎Aliyah from Boca Raton, Florida in 2002. Before joining Shavei Israel as their director of marketing, ‎Laura managed all social media at Nefesh B'Nefesh.

Laura is the author of the book, MOVING UP: ‎An Aliyah Journal, a memoir of her move to Israel, as well as numerous published articles both in ‎print and digital media; her subjects of choice include Israel, Aliyah & social media - and ‎sometimes all three at once!‎
