Workshop "Back to Beads"

One of our first talks was on the subject of Beads- the different kinds of beads and the problems of necklace-making.

This time it will be a hands-on workshop using beads and tools to make necklaces or bracelets.

Light refreshments will be available.‎

Homework exercise from Edna:

Take a pencil and paper.
Doodle, draw lines; straight ones, curved ones, join them or let them cross. Just feel happy about them. Let them lead you into a design that's pleasing to the eye.
Now consider; for what would that design be suitable, by itself or as a repeating pattern, smaller or larger, as an edging on a tablecloth or in the centre of a cushion, as a wall hanging or a greeting card or what? Think about it.
What materials would you use and what technique; appliqué, embroidery or quilted, felt stuck on cloth, painted or printed on paper or on card, or what? Think about it.
Then decide.
Come with your result to the next meeting.
We can have a workshop and make up the designs.
