Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

Jews And The Detective Novel

Carol will speak on the Jewish theme in the detective and mystery ‎novel, including a discussion of writers who employ Jewish life as ‎background ‎ ‎(such as in Kemelman’s Rabbi Small novels) and those who have written ‎with a slight touch of anti-Semitism (such as Agatha Christie).

She will read from her own humorous novel “Long in the Sleuth”, about a ‎quirky team of seniors who seek out a killer in a Jewish retirement home.‎
