Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

Hefzibah Non-Funded Community Projects, Netanya

Description of the Project : 
Volunteers run several non-funded projects in the Hefzibah Community in addition to, and as a result of, the Students Build a CommunityProject.
How the Project Works : 
Volunteers undertake to run:
  • Evening Study Groups for English conversation
  • Afternoon English “fun” groups for 11-12 year old Ethiopian children
  • Nutrition courses for mothers
  • Exercise courses for women
  • Individual didactic evaulations

About the Participants : 
The residents of the Hefzibah Community: young working women, older women and men, children.
The Partners : 
The Hefzibah Community Center
ESRA volunteers who spend wonderful hours with the men, women and children of this vibrant and exciting community.
Additional Information : 
The Center opened in September 2008 and since then has grown enormously thanks to the efforts of the community, the volunteers and the programs in the community. ESRA is proud to be a part of this enriching enterprise.

None as these are all individual volunteers giving their time and expertise into the community
