Karmiel, Misgav and area

stretching.jpgOur Branch in Karmiel started in April 2010 with a Cheese and Wine Evening and talk on Laughter. This was followed by a Wine Tasting evening, a Fun Table Quiz, which has now become an annual event, and lectures on a wide variety of subjects.

2011_akkotour.jpgWe have organised several trips in the local area including a walking tour of Akko, guided trips to Safed and Tel Dan, a tour of the Strauss-Elite chocolate factory in Nazareth and other places.

A Car Rally and brunch in June 2014 was most successful and has become a regular event. Several interest groups have been organised such as book club, handicrafts group and a discussion group.

Future plans include more lectures, interest groups and trips to appeal to oldtimers and newcomers in the area of Karmiel, Misgav and the Western Galilee.
Proceeds from our activities go towards helping the needy in the Karmiel area. We have donated to Kfar Yeladim in Karmiel, sponsored a neighborhood clean-up day by Ayalim students, bought eqipment for the municipal 'Bayit Cham' and sponsored a child on the local baseball team )for Arab and Jewish kids).

We work in cooperation with the local Karmiel English Speakers Club (KESC - ex-BOS) and since 2015 have a mutual discount on events for our members.

Volunteers help with Conversational English for bagrut students.
