"As long as there is one hungry child in Israel – I will perform" These were the words of the eminent Conductor, Composer and Pianist Gil Shohat as he once again introduced a musical evening of pure delight in aid of ESRA's "Hand in Hand Pantry" Campaign.

The proceeds of this concert ensures that hungry families will have sufficient food for this coming Pesach.
This was the 10th consecutive year that Gil Shohat entertained over 200 guests at the Sharon Hotel in Herzliya. He introduced each piece of music in his own inimitable style and held his audience spellbound by both his outstanding playing and warm personality.

Ten years ago members of ESRA's Hand-in-Hand Committee approached Nelly Perry asking whether she would take on the organization of an event to raise fund for families in need. Nelly agreed and the rest is history.

Nelly's personal friendship with Gil Shohat transcends some 20 years and, as her committee will vouch, it is very difficult to say "no" to Nelly.

Nelly pays a warm tribute to each and every member of the committee whose support  contributes greatly to, what has become, a highlight in the ESRA calendar.
ESRA's deep appreciation goes to Nelly and the entire committee; to Maestro Gil Shohat who donates his outstanding talent  and to the Sharon Hotel who provide a wonderful supper which they themselves heavily subsidize.

All fortunate to be present are – already – looking forward to next year's concert.
