Project of the Month

ESRA Computer Centers provide free access to computers and innovative instruction in computer skills for underprivileged children, youth and adults helping to close the cultural and educational gap.

Netanya

The ESRA Netanya branch has a large Volunteer Committee that meets every 4-6 weeks. We are involved in a wide range of projects and welcome anyone who is interested in helping or has an idea for a new project or event.

An ongoing Lecture Series is held every second Tuesday morning at 10am at Beit Yona, starting straight after Succot until end May, with a variety of interesting and entertaining lectures. Call Joan 077-798 4130 or Ros 052-539 3264.

The ESRA Counselling Service is here to help with counselling for bereavement, loss and times of trouble. Call Susan 09-885 1146.

ESRA Netanya Befrienders - After a successful course we now have trained male and female befrienders who are willing to visit lonely or homebound people. ESRA Netanya Drop in Centre opened in January 2016 at 15 Herzl Street (2nd floor).  Open on Sunday and Wednesdays 10:30-12:30. Welcome to drop in for tea/coffee and a chat and find out about all ESRA activities. New volunteers to ‎help man the office always welcome. Call Carole 052-683 1416.

ESRA Second Hand Clothing & Nearly New Goods - always looking for items for our shops in Kfar Saba and Raanana. Call ‎Gloria 09-865 1215 to arrange uplift.‎

ESRA Membership. We encourage membership of ESRA and are always looking for new members to join. New Olim in their first year of Aliyah are eligible for 1 year's free membership, and we welcome Netanya's regular visitors to join. Call Rika 054-464 4106‎

  • Bayit Ham - centre for teenage girls at risk in Kiryat Nordau. Open every afternoon 2-6pm. Esther 04-636 5565.

  • English Tutoring in 17 schools throughout Netanya - a joint project with the AACI Netanya (elementary, middle, high). Myrna 052-3001545.

  • Right Track Centres to give after-school tuition to Teenagers at Risk in 2 neighbourhoods - Neot Shaked & Hefzibah. Open every day 5-8 p.m. Henry 09-834 0937.

  • Students Build a Neighbourhood ‎- Students are given free accommodation in return for mentoring kids in four neighbourhoods – Hefzibah, ‎Kiryat Nordau, Sela and Neot Shaked. ‎
