Amitim Afternoon Therapy Center

Handicapped children engage in horseback riding, dog training, animal therapy, help with homework and receive a hot lunch.

The Problem

Handicapped children need social activities as much as they need therapy. Getting the therapy they need in a special and enjoyable way with other children improves their wellbeing.

The Solution

A unique afternoon therapy center for handicapped children, offering them an enriching, warm, supportive, therapeutic and caring environment.

The Method

Once a week for 4 hours, children receive horse riding therapy, dog training, animal therapy, help with homework, and an afternoon meal in the special environment of Kibbutz Magal. Each child is assisted by a volunteer.

Participants

15 physically handicapped children aged 6 – 17.

 Location

Kibbutz Magal
