These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.

The latest new activity in this Northern branch of ESRA attracted over 25 people. Spurred on by new olah, Sheila Silver who recently retired from a career in theatre education, we arranged an informal play reading choosing that perennial favourite, Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest' for our first venture.

New ESRA Committee in Nahariya

andrea_frederick.jpgLast Sunday elections were held for ESRA's North Coast Branch and Andrea Fredericks was chosen as new Chairman. Thanks to Mick Jaron who has chaired the Branch till now. Monthly meetings are planned - one month with a speaker or special activity and the next month with a coffee social. As the group widens other activities such as tours will be added.

Karmiel, Misgav and area

stretching.jpgOur Branch in Karmiel started in April 2010 with a Cheese and Wine Evening and talk on Laughter. This was followed by a Wine Tasting evening, a Fun Table Quiz, which has now become an annual event, and lectures on a wide variety of subjects.
