Project of the Month

These programs allow talented underprivileged teenagers to fulfill their potential by providing them with a challenging program of enrichment and leadership training at the Ruppin Institute of Marine Science. Talented 7th graders from all backgrounds of Israeli society in the lower socio-economic levels are chosen - programs run for 2 years.


Book Clubs

Book Clubs are a wonderful way of widening your literary knowledge and meeting new people. There are currently ESRA book clubs in the following locations:

Karmiel: meets monthly to discuss a chosen book on a Tuesday evening at the Karmiel English Speakers Club - Frankie 04-998 2871.

Kfar Saba: meets monthly - Ziona 09-767 5445.

Raanana: Frances Greenberg Book Club: Linda 054-780 5290

Ramat Aviv: Meets 3rd Tuesday of the month. Terry 054-460 8420.

Scrabble Clubs

Meeting time in your area.

Knitting - Handicraft Circles

Caesarea-Zichron: A Knitting Club meets bi-weekly in different homes. Contact Judy 050 823 5216.

Kfar Saba - Hod Hasharon: Sewing handicrafts group meets weekly at the Kfar Saba clubhouse on Nachshon St. Monday afternoons from 14.00 to 16.00. Contact Carol 050 439 9719  or Jackie 054 423 8055 

Rishon Lezion

The ESRA Rishon Lezion branch, which covers the area of Rishon Lezion, Nes Ziona and surrounding towns was formed in early 2008 and has an active membership. Rishon's activities, which continue to expand, include volunteer tutoring, a knitting club, a cinema club, a book exchange  and other social activities for members and non-members.
