The progress of Medicine is a vital concern for everyone and it cannot do so without research. For research to provide the answers we need, it must be vigorous, of high quality and above all ethical.

Ethics are a crucial component which permit the medical and general public to have full confidence in the integrity and robustness of research. Unfortunately, the history of medical research is replete with episodes of abuse which at times have overflowed into frank criminality.

In this talk, Anthony Luder will talk about some general ethical concepts and how they are regulated and supervised in Israel today.

Prof. Anthony Luder is Azrieli Faculty Special Projects Advisor and Director of Pediatrics, Ziv Medical Center in Safed.
