Francisco Goya, Romantic Master
Considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th  centuries, Goya is often referred to as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns. His paintings, drawings, and engravings reflected contemporary historical upheavals and influenced important 19th- and 20th-century painters.

The Unknown Road: The Maze in Contemporary Art
The Maze is an enigmatic and challenging structure that appears throughout the history of art from the labyrinth of the Minotaur in Greek mythology, continuing in the Renaissance European garden mazes, in works by 20th century artists such as M.C Escher and Richard Serra and ending with contemporary installations at the Venice Biennale and the new Louvre in Abu Dhabi. We will enter and walk together in the labyrinth which serves as a metaphor for self-search and the desire to get lost, only to return and find the true essence of the one who is walking in it...

Arte-Povera, an Italian art movement
Meaning literally ‘poor art’, the term refers to the Italian art movement from the 60's and 70's. their signature exploration of a wide range of materials beyond the traditional ones, replaced with the use of soil, rags and twigs - was what gave them their name. They aimed to challenge and disrupt the values of the commercialized contemporary gallery system.

David Hockney, Art in Britain Today
An English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, photographer and theorist. As an important contributor to the pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. The subject matter of his works ranges from still life's to landscapes, portraits of friends, his dogs, and stage designs for leading theaters and operas around the globe.
