A series of eight lectures and guided tours‎ on Mondays 10:00 – 12:30‎ 

Entrance to the museum is from 9:30 and in accordance with Ministry of Health and Museum regulations.

Important Note: The Monday series will always start with the lecture, but the Thursday series could be either with the lecture or the guided tour.
Entry with subscription card only for the same series, and cannot be interchanged Monday for Thursday or vice versa. This Museum rule is strictly enforced.

Kazimir Malevich: White on White
Kazimir Malevich, founder of the artistic and philosophical school of Suprematism constituted the theoretical underpinnings of non-objective. His ideas about forms and meaning in art would eventually profoundly change the evolution of modern art in Europe and the United States.

The Great Masters of Italian Baroque Art
The wonderful Italian Baroque art of the 17th century is characterized by glorious drama, movement, sharp contrasts of light-shadow, and poignant realism. All of these are reflected in the works of three of her great masters: the painters Caravaggio, and Artemisia Gentileschi and the sculptor: Gian Lorenzo Bernini - on whom the lecture will focus.

New Barbizon: Russian Art in Israel
The Barbizon Group was a group of 19th century French male painters who decided to go outside and paint instead of painting the French scenery from their studio.
A hundred years later a group of young Russian born women do the same thing. But instead of French scenery, they paint the Israeli society, instead of Realism, they use bold colors, black contours and childlike portraits.
Who are the new Barbizon? What are their themes and their artistic languages and how do they fit (or not) in the Israeli art scene.
