The following will be discussed: History of houseplants, their basic needs, common errors in growing houseplants, plant protection and choosing your houseplant.

Andy Resnick made Aliyah from Toronto, Canada in 1975, leaving behind his cactus collection at his parents’ home. After graduating from the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Agriculture with a Master’s degree in soil science, he moved with his wife Nira to help found Moshav Idan in the Arava. They left the moshav with their three daughters after 12 years, and Andy spent the next 25 years working as Registration Manager at Adama Agan - local market. Although officially retired now, Andy remains involved in agriculture as freelance advisor to the educational farms in Ashdod and Be’er Sheva, while growing exotic plants on his porch in Ness Ziona.
