Mentoring Rishon Lezion

During afterschool hours, students mentor a group of schoolchildren recommended by the Welfare Department, in return for a scholarship. Rishon Lezion 


Children from disadvantaged families need strengthening, empowerment and especially role models. The children are able to receive this necessary support through student mentoring in a group

Target Audience

10 Local students and 30 children aged 9-13


Children:  Personal and social development
Students: Financial support to ensure graduation and instill the spirit of volunteering


Once a week during the School year


High satisfaction with the activity
92% of the children feel that they are learning new things and are happy with being in the group
96% of the students feel that the joint activity strengthens the children both personally and socially
94% of the students are satisfied with the activity
