We start the hike at Kfar Hanokdim, a valley between Arad and Masada. We will hike through the desert and watch as the sun rises over the distant mountains. Then, we will follow the route through a long valley towards Nahal Tzeelim.
Those who haven't hiked in the area before will marvel at the wadis and canyons we pass. Then, we descend towards the Tzeelim stream, which receives water from Nahal Harduf before entering the Dead Sea. We can view the landscape towards Nahal Aneva and then ascend toward the ancient fortress of Masada.
We have an early start to beat the traffic and benefit from the early views.
Approximate walking time is five and a half hours.
Please look out for any last minute changes due to weather conditions.
