Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek was founded in 1926 by members of the HaShomer HaTzair movement, becoming the first Jewish settlement in the southern Jezreel Valley.
Our host, long-time ESRA member Lydia Aisenberg, will show us around the kibbutz and tell us about her experience of living there for many years. We will have an opportunity to meet some of the many evacuees from Nachal Oz who arrived at the Kibbutz on October 8th, to understand how they have settled in and to hear the experience of the Kibbutz members who had to absorb hundreds of evacuees.
- We will be leaving Haifa at 10.30 and expect to be back in Haifa around 15.30
- There will be some light walking involved to get around the kibbutz.
