Volunteering

When an emergency strikes, and this one is unprecedented, the people take action, and ESRA, the home of English speakers in Israel, is among the first.
We are devoting our resources to meet the needs of communities in the south, as well as those of English-speaking Olim, while we continue our education projects for schoolchildren, university students, and special needs groups.
How can you help...

Popular Lunch Club in Tiberias

Members and friends of ESRA's Jordan Valley Branch gather weekly on a Wednesday lunchtime for a social get-together over lunch. This week there was a record attendance

even though some of the regulars couldn't make it.

JordanValleyLunchThe invitation is extended to anyone who wants to join so the event has turned into a focus for those living in the various towns and villages in the Jordan Valley area. The venue is the BIG fashion mall in Tiberias which has plenty of free parking and a large food mall. This proved especially useful this week as 5 tables were pushed together as over 20 people turned up to join the group.

Everyone orders whatever they want and a nominal voluntary contribution for ESRA is welcome. All monies collected by the branch are used towards ESRA projects such as a scholarship for a local student who takes part in ESRA's 'Students Build A Community' project.
