This is one of our Trip Series: Here & There Around Israel - Heritage and Nature.
The tour lasts approximately ten to twelve hours.

Ramat Hanadiv: An expansive nature park and meticulously cultivated gardens covering about 1160 acres situated between Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina. Originally owned by Baron De Rothschild, these memorial gardens stand as a living memorial to him operating for the benefit of everyone to visit and enjoy.

First Aliyah Museum - Zichron
A must-see spot for all visitor who tour Zichron Yaakov, providing a peak into the reality of the of first aliyah settlers’ courageous lives. Back in the days when they did not have coffee, or water for making coffee, they raised families, battled disease, planted vines, and prayed for yield.  The Barron’s clerks run the show… And the rest is history.

Walking Tour
As we continue our walking tour we take a gentle stroll towards The Street of the Founders where we can witness the stories and lives as we understand the use of the buildings, the infrastructure and the people who founded the village of Zichron who continue to come alive once more through hearing these stories.
 
Lunch break
Either time to eat your packed lunch and browse in the stores or eat in one of the many cafes/restaurants located on Founders Street which still today forms the heart of the vibrant Community living in Zichron today
 
Aaronsohn House - NILI Museum
This museum tells the story of the courageous and heroic deeds of members of the Nili spy network and memorializes their actions during World War I and their contribution to the ending of the Ottoman rule and the entry of the British to the Land of Israel.

Zichron Cemetery
The graves of many of the pioneers of the first Aliyah (1882) and their children are to be found in the cemetery. Sarah Aaronson of Nili, Nita Langa, David Remez were buried here.
 
Tour and tasting at Carmel Winery
The largest winery in Israel producing in excess of 15 million bottles a year. They have wineries and vineyards all over the country from North to South. Founded by Baron D. Rothschild in the 19th century, Carmel offers a wonderful Israel wine tour of their winery. The wine culture center at the Carmel winery offers an unforgettable experience that combines tours and wine tasting at the historic winery, and presents the fascinating story from the early days of winemaking in Israel until the modern world of wine today.

7:30 am Tel Aviv Arlozorov Train Station 
8:00 am Herzliya, Train Station

Back to the starting point, approximately around 18:00 - 19:00.

Price does not include breakfast and lunch.

ESRA trips are suitable for people in good health. Please come properly prepared with plenty of water and good walking shoes.
