This trip will be based on carpooling. We will leave Haifa at 08.30 arriving at Deir Al-Mukhraqa at 09.15. Diana will explain the significance of the monastery and we will be able to see the amazing views from the roof.
We will then continue to Megiddo National Park aiming to arrive by 11.00. Megiddo was one of the strongest and most important cities of Canaan. The remains of the palaces, temples, gates, and the sophisticated water system of the city are evidence of its great power.
Our visit to the park will take approximately 3.5 hours including time for a picnic lunch.
We are scheduling arrival back in Haifa around 15.30
1. A few days prior to the trip we will contact all those who have registered to arrange carpooling.
2. Bring walking shoes, water, a hat, snacks and a packed lunch.
3. Entrance to Megiddo costs NIS 28 for an adult and NIS 14 for senior citizens. Bring you Senior Citizen Card.
