We will begin the hike near a coffee shop called Barbarhar. We will follow the trail
downwards towards Nahal Soreq and the railway. The whole hike will offer beautiful views of the hills and trees in their autumn colours.
The highlight of the hike is going to be the Soreq Cave also known as Avshalom Cave or the Stalactite Caves. It is a nature reserve and park of the National Parks Authority. Nahal Soreq is one of the largest and most important drainage basins in the Judean hills.
The beautiful formations were formed by dripping water over the last 185,000 years. They have been described as magical and an experience not to be missed.
Entry to the caves is nis16 extra please bring the appropriate money with you.
Please wear boots and not trainers when hiking as its wet inside the cave.
