Why do we need City Rescue Units? Isn’t it the role of the army? Paul will
address these questions and talk about the readiness of the City of Modiin
and the country in the event of a major earthquake and other emergencies.
Paul Ben Ishai is a Professor of Physics at Ariel University and has lived in
Modiin since 1998.He is a volunteer in the Search and Rescue Unit of Modiin
City Council and a graduate of the Level 3 Rescuer Course. The Unit is
considered the most professional of all city council units and trains with the
Home Command of Zahal. He grew up in London and made Aliyah in 1985.
